As 2022 draws to a close, Syracuse University celebrates another year of academic innovation and creativity, of emotional firsts and triumphs, of reconnection and transformation.
This year, our faculty blazed trails in biomedical research, worked to unlock new treatments for brain-related diseases, published acclaimed works of fiction and explored new technological frontiers. Our alumni inspired us with generous support for student and faculty excellence and set campus aglow with happy memories during Orange Central. We honored our graduates as they ventured forth into a rapidly changing world, and we embraced the chance to prepare tomorrow’s workforce through Micron Technology’s $100 billion investment in Central New York.
The JMA Wireless Dome welcomed near-record-high crowds, and our student-athletes thrilled us with a conference title in women’s ice hockey and a national championship in men’s soccer—as well as a trip to the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl for the Orange football team.
And through it all, our global community celebrated Syracuse spirit and traditions, showing the world what it means to be Orange.
