Syracuse University and Le Moyne College have a long history of cooperation and are pleased to offer this opportunity to help ensure student success at Syracuse University and beyond.

This pathway program enables select students to pursue a Syracuse University degree after attending Le Moyne College for one year. The length of collegiate study and type of degree will be the same as if the student was able to join Syracuse University this fall, but their path will be more like that of a transfer student.

Students who are selected and choose to participate in the pathway program will:

  1. Attend nearby Le Moyne College, in the City of Syracuse, for their first year. After that, students can transfer all credits to Syracuse (requirements apply – see below).
  2. Complete their second, third and fourth years at Syracuse University, then graduate on time with a Syracuse bachelor’s degree.

Benefits

  • At the conclusion of the student’s year at Le Moyne, provided they have at least a 3.0 GPA, they will be guaranteed admission to the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • At Le Moyne, students will participate in student orientation and have access to the same student services and support that all Le Moyne students enjoy.
  • Syracuse University and Le Moyne staff will work with students to ensure the classes they select will transfer to Syracuse.
  • Students who achieve a 3.25 GPA or better at the conclusion of their first year at Le Moyne will be guaranteed admission to Syracuse University, plus $10,000 in merit aid.

Pathway Program Requirements

  1. Only students who are invited to the pathway program may participate.
  2. Students will take a full course load (15 credits per semester for a total of 30 credits) during their fall and spring semesters at Le Moyne College.
  3. Students must achieve at least a 3.0 GPA at the conclusion of their fall and spring semesters in order to transfer to Syracuse University.
  4. Provided academic requirements are met, students are only guaranteed Syracuse University admittance into the College of Arts and Sciences.
  5. Should students wish to be considered for another program, they should contact the Syracuse University Office of Admissions at transfertosu@syr.edu.

To accept an offer to the pathway program, invited students should refer to the email received in response to their application, or contact transfertosu@syr.edu.
