A passionate advocate of educational access for all, Larsen led JPMorgan Chase's collaborations with Syracuse University and the University of Delaware, developing cross-disciplinary curricula to prepare students for large-scale computing in global enterprises. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell College (Phi Beta Kappa) in Iowa in 1983 and a master’s degree in library science from Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies (iSchool), as a University Fellow, the following year.
