Voting Trustee

Christine A. Carona is an executive director at Morgan Stanley in Boston, Mass. where she serves as a financial advisor and a senior investment management consultant. She leads a team she developed around holistic wealth management for people and families faced with sudden wealth. She is especially proud of the work the team does every day around planning for families with a member who has special needs.

At Morgan Stanley, Carona draws on more than three decades' experience in wealth management. Before joining the company in 2017, she held senior leadership positions in management at UBS Financial Services, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (formerly Smith Barney) and as a principal at BankBoston (formerly Bank of Boston). She began her career as a financial consultant at Merrill (formerly Merrill Lynch).

Her many honors (1) include being named a Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisor 2020 (and 2017), Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor 2020 and Five Star Wealth Manager Award winner 2020.  In addition to being a member of Morgan Stanley's President Club since 2018, a member of the UBS’ President's Council (2012-17) and the UBS' Director's Council (2011), she has been a Barron's Top Women Advisors Summit attendee 2012-2017 and 2019.

Carona credits her parents for making many sacrifices so that she and her brother could attend Syracuse University. (Her mother, then a new employee of the University's Health Center, became the family's sole breadwinner, after Carona's father suffered a career-ending heart attack.) In 1985, Carona earned a dual bachelor's degree in human development and family science from the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics and in retail management from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management through the joint program in Whitman.  While at Syracuse, she was a member of Alpha Phi. In 2000, she completed the College of Financial Planning program at Northeastern University.

Carona serves on the Board Advancement and External Affairs and Enrollment and the Student Experience Committees. Her Syracuse University service includes membership on the National Campaign Council and Boston Regional Council and has hosted events for The Hill Society. She has supported various initiatives in the College of Arts and Sciences, Falk College, the National Veterans Resource Center, the Barnes Center at The Arch, and alumni relations.
