Personal Interviews

While not required, prospective first-year and transfer students have the opportunity to schedule a personal interview with an admissions representative. Representatives include staff, current students, and alumni.

A personal interview is an opportunity for you to have a one-on-one conversation with an admissions representative. You’ll get the chance to discuss your high school experiences, interests, and future goals. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have concerning the application process, campus life, scholarships, financial aid, specific majors—you name it!

Interviews for prospective first-year students (high school seniors) applying for fall 2019 will be offered on a space-available basis, both on and off-campus, beginning summer 2018 and will run through fall 2018. Prospective transfer students can schedule interviews throughout the year by contacting transfertosu@syr.edu.

You may schedule only one interview. All interviews are 30 minutes long.
