Meet current students, learn more about your academic program, explore campus, meet with representatives from many of the offices and student organizations at Syracuse, and have lunch in the Dome.

What to Expect

Plan to spend the day learning what it means to be a Syracuse student. The day begins with check-in between 8:30-9:00 a.m. and runs through the early afternoon. Agenda includes:

  • Welcome session and video introduction
  • College information sessions
  • Lunch and Campus Life Expo
  • Campus and residence hall tours
  • Opportunities to explore the colleges and other University offices

We recommend casual dress and comfortable shoes. Be prepared for all types of weather.

Welcome:
Join fellow admitted students and families for a warm welcome that includes an introduction to academic and campus life.

College Sessions:
Academic deans, faculty, and students will present programs, facilities, and opportunities. Dually admitted students may attend the morning college session of their choice.

Groups will be escorted to the Dome at the conclusion of the College Session.

Lunch and Campus Life Exposition:
Enjoy lunch on the turf in the Dome. Visit with representatives of the colleges, campus departments, and student organizations.

Resource and Cultural Centers Open House:
Learn more about the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Slutzker Center for International Services, the LGBT Resource Center, and the Disability Cultural Center.

Residence Hall Tours: Option 1
Take a shuttle bus from the Dome to one of the buildings. Choose this option if you don’t have a preference for which hall you want to visit and would like to have shuttle service. After the visit, there are return shuttles from Day, Flint, Brewster, and Boland to College Place.

Guided tours of Shaw, Lawrinson, Brewster, Boland, and Sadler Halls are available. Choose this option if you want to select the hall you wish to visit and walk there on your own.

Shuttle service from main campus to the Skytop parking lot is offered 12:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. Shuttles depart from College Place.

Admissions staff will be available from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Schine Student Center Atrium to answer questions and hear about your day.
