While many of our students move on to full-time careers after graduation, some continue their education in graduate school after earning their bachelor's degree. Our schools and colleges offer accelerated programs that allow you to pursue an advanced degree in a condensed timeline, saving you time and tuition dollars.

School of Education

The School of Education's Fast Track programs are for students looking to complete part of their graduate studies while still an undergraduate student. These Fast Track programs are specifically for students who are completing their B.S. in selected studies in education.

The School of Education offers three programs in the Fast Track format:
- M.S. in Professional Counseling
- M.S. in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation
- M.S. in Cultural Foundations in Education

4+1 B.S. Public Health/Public Health M.P.H.

3+3 B.S. Health and Exercise Science/D.P.T. Early Assurance Program with SUNY Upstate Medical University

While not an established accelerated program, students who obtain a B.S. in social work can pursue a master’s in Social Work (M.S.W.) in 10 months instead of two years.

School of Information Studies (iSchool)

The School of Information Studies Fast Track program allows students from any Syracuse University bachelor’s degree program to start earning their master’s degree from the iSchool during their senior year of undergraduate study. Fast Track students need only one year of full-time graduate study to complete a master’s degree. Most can be completed online, allowing the student to enter the workforce after completing their undergraduate degree.

The iSchool offers three programs in the Fast Track format:
- M.S. in Library and Information Science (with optional specialization in School Media)
- M.S. in Applied Data Science
- M.S in Information Systems

Whitman School of Management

3+3 B.S./Law (J.D.) Program

College of Visual and Performing Arts

3+2 B.M./MBA Double Degree

This program is limited to music industry students within the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
