S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
Curriculum
The curriculum provides an interdisciplinary approach to learning, introducing students to both the theory and practice of the advertising business through project-based experiences working with real clients. In addition to core courses in advertising and communications, students will choose one of two tracks: creative or insights and strategy.
Creative: Develop concepts, campaigns and content — from copywriting and art direction to graphic design and commercial scripts.
Insights and Strategy: Study consumer behavior, media planning and digital analytics to shape the thinking behind a campaign.
