    • Syracuse University Pathway Program with Wells College

    The Syracuse Pathway Program with Wells College enables select students to pursue a Syracuse University degree after attending Wells College for one year.

    Situated on more than 300 scenic acres overlooking Cayuga Lake in central New York, Wells College offers the simplicity and safety of village living and easy access to metropolitan and educational centers, including the city of Syracuse. Students at Wells enjoy small class sizes, rich mentorship and advising, plus access to student clubs and organizations.

    If students selected for the program meet the below criteria after completing their first year at Wells College, they will be guaranteed admission to Syracuse University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Other programs will be considered based upon strength of academic performance.

    Here is how students will pursue their Syracuse University degree if they accept the offer to the pathway program:

    1. They will attend nearby Wells College for their first year. After that, they can transfer their credits to Syracuse (requirements apply – see below).
    2. They will complete their bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University.

    Wells College will review their application and notify them of their admission status and eligibility for need-based and merit-based aid. We encourage students to designate Wells College as a recipient for their FAFSA information using:

    New York State TAP Code: #1050

    PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Students will take a full course load (15 hours per semester for a total of 30 hours) during their fall and spring semesters at Wells College.
    2. Students must achieve at least a 3.0 GPA at the conclusion of their spring and fall semesters in order to transfer to Syracuse University.
    3. Students must submit their transcript and Transfer College Report form to Syracuse University at the conclusion of their first academic year at Wells College.

    Should students earn a cumulative 3.25 GPA or better at Wells College during their fall and spring semester, they will be awarded an annual merit scholarship of at least $10,000.
