Report a Concern

The reports below are reviewed regularly but are not meant for emergency response.

Any member of the SU community may report a concern. Reports can be filed online, or in-person with the Department of Public Safety (DPS) at any time. Students may also share concerns with their residential staff (RA/RD) in their residence halls.

General Incident Reports – This form is for any general concerns regarding student behavior that may violate the Syracuse University Student Code of Conduct or any other University policies. These reports are reviewed by Community Standards and responded to appropriately based on the information provided. If you submit a report, please be sure to include as much information/detail as possible.

Bias/Hate Incidents – This form is for incidents related to bias, micro/macroaggressions, discrimination, or hate aimed at or committed by a member of the SU community based on any protected class, status, identity, or perceived class/status/identity. These reports are reviewed by the staff in Community Standards. If you submit a report, please be sure to include as much information/detail as possible.

Sexual or Relationship Violence – This form is for any person who wishes to report any act of sexual harassment or dating violence to the Student Title IX Case Management office. If you submit a report, please be sure to include as much information/detail as possible.

Hazing – This form is for alleged acts of hazing by any recognized or unrecognized organizations, club sports, athletic teams, fraternities, or sororities (academic, service, or social) that involve SU students. If you submit a report, please be sure to include as much information/detail as possible.

Unrecognized Organization Activity – This form is to report an alleged activity of unrecognized organizations that may be operating which involve SU students. If you submit a report, please be sure to include as much information/detail as possible.

Threat Assessment – The Threat Assessment Management Team is composed of several key offices on campus, including DPS, Counseling, the Dean of Students, and others to review and access potential threats to the campus community.
