Samuel G. Nappi
Samuel Nappi is founder and chairman of Alliance Energy Group and World Harmony Productions.
Alliance Energy is a privately owned electric power generation company, using several forms of green fuel sources such as biomass, biodiesel, clean burning natural gas, and hydropower. Alliance produces energy in a safe, reliable and efficient manner, while simultaneously maintaining a high level of environmental stewardship.
Alliance Energy owns and operates twelve electric power generation facilities that serve over 1 million households, including hydroelectric generating facilities and lakes in the Catskill region of New York State. In addition, the company owns and operates natural gas pipelines in Western New York.
World Harmony develops films, plays and musicals with a social consciousness. Nappi is producing a Martin Luther King, Jr. biopic slated for release in 2013, with World Harmony, DreamWorks and Warner Bros., co-production companies. He has two features completed in 2011 for release in 2012.
World Harmony theatrical productions include “Stick Fly” on Broadway, with Nelle Nugent, Alicia Keys, Samuel Nappi, and Reuben Cannon, producers; and “Prometheus Bound” with Amnesty International and the American Repertory Theater. “Woodstock Nation” is in development for a 2012 Broadway opening.
Nappi serves on the board of directors of The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, as senior advisor to Martin Luther King III. He is a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C. and serves on the National Security Initiative Corporate Advisory Board, the Strategic Public Diplomacy Project, and the Leaders' Council. He is a board member of the Environmental Media Association in Los Angeles, which seeks to mobilize the entertainment industry about environmental issues.
For Syracuse University, Nappi strongly supports the College of Law’s Cold Case Justice Initiative, College of Visual and Performing Arts, and Syracuse Stage.
