Darlene T. DeRemer is a managing partner at Grail Partners LLC, which she helped found in 2005. In addition to heading up the Boston office, DeRemer is the senior banker focusing on the asset management industry. Grail is an advisory merchant bank serving the investment management industry.
Prior to becoming an investment banker at Putnam Lovell NBF in 2003, Ms. DeRemer was a leading adviser to the financial services industry for 25 years, specializing in strategic marketing, planning, product design and implementation of innovative service strategies. She operated her own asset management company, DeRemer & Associates, the first firm focused on the U.S. mutual fund industry. She also was Vice President and Director of the Asset Management Division of State Street Bank & Trust Company, where she managed the $4 billion Pension Real Estate Department; and was a Vice President at T. Rowe Price & Associates. DeRemer began her career in strategic planning at Tiger International and its subsidiary, Flying Tiger Airlines.
DeRemer has been an active member of the association of Investment Sales & Marketing Executives, Boston Security Analysts Society (BSAS), The Boston Club, Investment Company Institute’s Marketing Committee, Money Management Institute, Mutual Fund Education Alliance, Mutual Fund Directors Forum, Profit Sharing Council of America, Women in Financial Services, and Women’s Association of Venture Executives Steering Committee. DeRemer currently serves on the board of AARP Women’s Leadership Circle Advisory Board on Financial Securities, AARP Services, Inc. Board and the Clarion Property Trust Board.
For Syracuse University, DeRemer is a past member of the National Alumni Association board of directors, has taken a leadership role in the greater Boston campaign events and initiatives, and serves on the Whitman School of Management Corporate Advisory Council, including serving on its development committee. She is a member of the Whitman Women in Business Club, is a frequent lecturer at Whitman and assists with the Orange Value Fund.
