Our goal? Position the University for success in attracting and hiring highly-qualified women faculty These efforts will focus on increasing the proportion of highly qualified women faculty members in recruiting pools through the use of active networking strategies. This effort has already begun and will continue for the life of the project. One example already underway is the Chancellor's Faculty Fellow program. We expect to regularize a set of recruiting practices that substantially enhance our overall institutional capacity in this area. Participants will learn how to access and expand social networks to enhance recruitment on a year-round basis. They will attend training to support search efforts, learn effective strategies for recruiting dual-career couples, and access mini departmental grants to support recruitment
