MySlice context sensitive help documentation

This page includes documentation of the following registration related and other student records functionality in MySlice (PeopleSoft 9.0 HRSA)

Add Classes Help < 1 2 3 4 5 6 >

To begin adding classes to your schedule, enter the 5-digit class number for each class you wish to take.

Do not use the class search tab. Use the green SEARCH button at the bottom of the page.

To find class numbers:

Enter from completed course worksheet.

  • Class Search
  • NEW My Planner

This is Step 1 of 3. After you have entered the 5-digit number for your class, enrollment preferences may be chosen here.

Progress is indicated by numbered boxes at the top of each page.

Class status indication:

  • = Open
  • = Closed
  • = Waitlisted

To add yourself to a waitlist click the check box.

Enter a general permission number if one has been issued.

Units are adjusted by using the drop down menu.

Click NEXT to Continue.

At the end of Step 1, your class is placed in your Shopping Cart. From this point you may either continue to add more classes to your cart, or you can continue to step 2 of 3.

NEW Shopping Cart

A "holding" space for classes to be kept until ready to enroll.

Use the trash can icon to delete a class from your Shopping Cart.

To continue, click

PROCEED TO STEP 2 OF 3.

In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm your enrollment choice es).

The green open circle icon indicates the class is open

Select FINISH ENROLLING to continue.

In Step 3 of 3, you may view the results of your enrollment transaction.

If you receive an error, read the message to determine how to resolve.

Shopping Cart Help < 1 2 3 >

Shopping Cart is a holding space for classes that the student will enroll in for the current registration period.

All selected classes are placed into the shopping cart prior to being able to enroll.

You may add classes via:

  • Directly entering class number(s)
  • Class search
  • MyPlanner

After you have chosen a class, you are given the opportunity to add enrollment preferences.

You may want to add your name to the waitlist.

You may have been given a permission number to enter.

Once you have completed entering options, click next to continue.

You may continue to add classes to your shopping cart, and enroll in them all at once.

If you currently have access to registration, click Next to continue.

If you are not going to enroll at this time, simply log out. All of your selected classes will remain in your shopping cart.

Currently the validate function is inactive. Do not select that option.

To begin making edits to classes on your schedule, choose a class using the drop down menu.

Progress is indicated by numbered boxes at the top of each page.

To continue, click PROCEED TO STEP 2 OF 3.

Use the drop down menu to select the number of credits for the class.

Click - NEXT to continue.

The selected class has been placed in your shopping cart for processing.

To continue, click PROCEED TO STEP 2 OF 3.

This class has been successfully updated.

In step 3, use the status column to view transaction results.

To begin swapping classes from your classes schedule, use the 'Select from your Schedule' drop down menu.

In Step 1 of 3 you will select the classes you will exchange.

After you select your swap 'from' class, the 'change to' class may be found using either:

  • Class Search
  • MyPlanner
  • Shopping Cart
  • Entering the class number directly

Choose your enrollment preferences on this page.

At the end of step 1 be sure to check:

  • Section
  • Day/time

If the class has a wait list you may select that option here.

Click NEXT to continue.

You WILL NOT be automatically enrolled from a waitlist.

You must contact the department to complete enrollment.

In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm your enrollment choice.

For the class you are REPLACING check the status symbols:

= Open

= Closed

= Waitlisted

For the NEW class you will enroll into, check the status symbols:

= Enrolled

= Dropped

= Waitlisted

Click FINISH SWAPPING to continue.

In step 3 of 3, you may view the results of your enrollment transaction.

If an error is received, read the reason carefully to determine how best to resolve.

Drop Class Help < 1 2 3 4 >

To begin dropping classes from your schedule, click the check box next to the class(es) that you wish to drop

This is step 1 of 3

After you have selected the class(es) you wish to drop

The enrollment status indication:

  • = Enrolled
  • = Dropped
  • = Waitlisted

Click the DROP SELECTED CLASSES button to continue

In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm the class (es) that you wish to drop

The green checkmark in the status column indicates which class you have chosen to drop

Select FINISH DROPPING to continue
