A memorial service for professor emeritus Arthur Evans Tashko LeGacy will be held on Friday, April 29, at 4 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel. LeGacy died on Nov. 3, 2010.
LeGacy, professor emeritus of history in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and The College of Arts and Sciences, joined the faculty in 1965 as part of the Metropolitan Studies Program. He later was a professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. He taught undergraduate and graduate classes for 29 years, with a focus on urban history and film.
Friends will gather in the chapel from 3-4 p.m., preceding the service. Parking will be available in the Irving Avenue parking garage.
