Whitman M.B.A. students compete in sports benefit for Special Olympics

M.B.A. students at the Whitman School of Management embrace experiential opportunities outside the classroom and enthusiastically participate in community engagement. In doing their part for the community, a select group of Whitman M.B.A. students will compete with other M.B.A. students from around the nation in the 22nd Duke M.B.A. Games, hosted by the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. All the proceeds from the games go to Special Olympics of North Carolina.
The competition will take place April 2-4 in North Carolina. The participating Whitman M.B.A. students aim to raise $1,500 toward the contribution to Special Olympics to qualify for the tournament. “Engaging in the community is a big component of the student experience at Whitman,” says Maurice A. Harris, associate dean of the M.B.A. program. “We encourage all students to get involved and help others. It instills a good sense of community that they can take into the business world when they graduate. This M.B.A. competition will be a great experience for the students and an excellent way to help a good cause.”
