Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) will present “white elephant,” its second annual New York City show by master of fine arts degree candidates, June 2-6 at Dumbo Arts Center, 30 Washington St., Brooklyn. A reception will be held Thursday, June 3, from 6-8:30 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday-Sunday, noon-6 p.m.
The show will feature a range of artwork, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, video and interactive media.
Each spring VPA presents a Syracuse exhibition of work by M.F.A. candidates from its School of Art and Design that represents the culmination of three years of art making and research. The campus show was held April 1-May 16.
Artists from the campus show who will exhibit in New York include Heather Bivens, Aaron Blum, Guy Carlo, Alicia Giuliani, Ann Hirsch, Randal Jones, Jared Landberg, Jon Lee, Brett Malley, Gwendolyn Mercado-Reyes, Katie Micak, Shawn O’Connor, Jinhee Park, Kelli Pennington, Esther Maria Probst, Jessica Sharpe, Yu Lun Shih and Christina I-Ting Wu.
