The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) New York City Roundtable are co-sponsoring the fourth annual Supply Chain Symposium, “The Challenges of a Sustainable Supply Chain,” on Wednesday, April 21, at SU’s Joseph I. Lubin House, E. 61st St. in Manhattan. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.
The luncheon keynote speaker, at 12:30 p.m., will be Paul Tasner, vice president of supply chain/sustainability at Reclipse Group, who will address the challenges of a sustainable supply chain.
Following the luncheon, a breakout presentation at 1:45 p.m. will feature Matthew Menner ’90, ’94 M.B.A., senior vice president of sales and alliances for Transplace; Jose Holguin-Veras, professor of civil and environmental engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Richard Jordon ’93 of Panalpina; Paul Svindland ’92, director of Alix Partners; and Rennie Alston, senior vice president of American River.
The afternoon keynote address will be at 4:30 p.m. with Robert Kuhn, principal of Kuhn Associates Management Advisors. Kuhn will discuss strategies and tactics for creating, implementing and maintaining environmentally sustainable practices in a manufacturing environment. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will follow the afternoon keynote.
