The HUB 2010 Spring Speaker Series at Syracuse University will continue on Wednesday, March 10, with Andy Zitney, chief technology officer for corporate systems infrastructure for JPMorgan Chase & Co. The series is sponsored by The HUB—a unique university-industry collaboration founded by Syracuse University and JPMorgan Chase.
He will speak on “The Future of Technology Infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase” at 2 p.m. in the Katzer Collaboratory, Room 347 of Hinds Hall. The event is free and open to the public; a reception will follow.
Zitney will discuss how rapid changes in technology and an expanding customer base have altered the firm’s technology infrastructure over the past 15 years. He will share how JPMorgan Chase uses a “follow-the-sun” model to support its multiple business lines and how technology infrastructure will look in the future, five years and beyond.
With more than 25 years’ experience in information technology, Zitney is currently responsible for directing a team of 350 IT professionals, with end-to-end ownership from architecture design, strategy, implementation and operation for infrastructure technologies across all JPMorgan Chase corporate systems globally. He is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to joining the firm 20 years ago, Zitney co-founded three different companies that focused on Internet development and support, recycling technology equipment, developing the next generation of data storage devices and media, and consulting services for network support centers. He spent four years at a dot.com company, running the application development, infrastructure and operations support center.
Zitney is a graduate of Capital University with a major in business finance. He started his career in the U.S. Army, where he served as a sergeant and squad leader in the 101st Airborne air-assault rapid deployment combat engineer forces.

In June 2007, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Syracuse University established a unique corporate-university collaboration and joint venture.
