Robin Meyer, a graduate student in painting in Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA), is exhibiting a group of collaborative paintings created by local artists with disabilities through Oct. 17 on the wall outside Shemin Auditorium on the first floor of the Dorothea Ilgen Shaffer Art Building. The exhibition is open daily.
Meyer collaborated with Enable, a Syracuse organization that offers individualized services for children and adults with disabilities, to bring art-making to people who might not otherwise have access to it. Her goal was to reach out to community members who cannot manipulate paint brushes in a traditional way due to physical and cognitive disabilities.
June 05, 2012 The program, designed in collaboration with the Casting Society of America, was developed for casting students, including key professional components and core courses with fellow Tepper students.
