Alison Schoch, a junior at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, has been awarded the annual Robert H. Brethen Scholarship through the Brethen Operations Management Institute in the Whitman School. The prestigious award, given to an outstanding junior majoring in operations management or supply chain management, comes with a $10,000 scholarship and recognition from the academic and business communities. Schoch was selected as the winner for her excellence in academic achievement and professional experience in supply chain management.
Schoch, originally from Jackson, Mo., is active around campus and in the Syracuse community. In 2007, she studied abroad in London and held an inventory management internship at Sears Holdings Corp. in Chicago. Schoch is a member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the Franklin Student Supply Chain Management Group, and volunteers for the Association for Student Elderly Connection.
