Frank Bisignano, chief administrative officer for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and a member of the firm's operating committee and executive committee, will deliver the keynote address at the School of Information Studies' (iSchool) convocation, Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. in Goldstein Auditorium of the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center.
Bisignano's responsibilities include overseeing technology, operations, real estate, procurement, human resources and general services across all of JPMorgan's businesses in more than 50 countries. He was also instrumental in orchestrating a 10-year, $30 million partnership with Syracuse University to develop a new enterprise technology curriculum and training program.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Bisignano was the CEO for Citigroup's Global Transaction Services (GTS) business, which generated revenue of $6 billion and after-tax profit of $1.4 billion. During his four years running this publicly reported business, it increased profit from $500 million to $1.4 billion. He was also a member of Citigroup's management committee and operating committee. Before being named CEO of GTS in 2002, Bisignano was the chief administrative officer of Citigroup's Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group (GCIB), while also serving as deputy head of operations and technology for all of Citigroup from 2000-03.
Bisignano's earlier experience included serving as a senior vice president at Shearson Lehman Brothers from 1986-90 and then as executive vice president and chief consumer lending officer at First Fidelity Bank Corp. He then joined Smith Barney in 1994.
