University Avenue Garage

Summer Campus Days Parking July 15 & 29

The University Avenue Garage is located at 705 University Avenue, between Adams Street and Harrison Avenue.

By car, the University Avenue Garage at Syracuse University is most easily reached from Interstate 81. New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) travelers should take Thruway exit 36 (Interstate 81) and proceed south. Both northbound and southbound travelers on Interstate 81 should exit at Adams Street (Exit 18). Parking directions will differ based on your visitation so please carefully review the directions below.

If you are flying to Syracuse, car rental is available at Syracuse's Hancock International Airport. We recommend that you make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Taxi service from the airport to campus costs approximately $25 one way.

Southbound travelers: proceed down ramp and continue on Almond Street to Adams Street. Turn LEFT on Adams Street and continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Northbound travelers: proceed down ramp and turn RIGHT onto Adams Street. Continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Walk to the Schine Student Center (5 minutes).  There will be SU students and staff to guide you from the garage to the Schine Student Center.

Note: Please bring your parking ticket with you. The ticket will be validated when you check-in for you to submit to the parking attendant upon exiting the garage.

Visitors staying at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center and those without cars should
proceed directly to the Schine Student Center.  The student center is located across the street from the Sheraton.

Since your visit will include a walking tour of the campus, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes appropriate for the weather.  If anyone in your party is physically challenged and needs special assistance, please call our office in advance at 315-443-3611.

Pardon our dust

As you prepare to visit SU, please be sure to allow additional time for summer construction around Central New York and the University Campus.  Although travel to the University Avenue Garage will not be affected, University Avenue will be open to local traffic only between Adams St. and Waverly Avenue.  A temporary pedestrian walkway is on the east (Sheraton Hotel) side of University Avenue.
