Outside Scholarships

An important part of the mission of Office of Scholarship Programs is to assist students in the search for outside scholarship funding. During the academic year, SU students received more than $4 million in scholarships from outside sources. Searching for scholarships can be a rewarding experience for students seeking additional sources to fund their education. Many scholarships are available, however, it takes commitment and determination to both locate relevant opportunities and complete their application process.

Students receiving financial aid from Syracuse University are required to report all outside scholarships and grants that they receive from sources other than the University. Federal regulations require these awards be used in determining eligibility for federally funded financial assistance.
