  • TITLE: The International Dissertation Research Fellowship Program


  • SPONSOR: The International Dissertation Research Fellowship Program


  • ELIGIBILITY: Supports distinguished graduate students in the humanities and social sciences conducting dissertation research outside the United States. The IDRF Program is administered by the Social Science Research council in consultation with the American Council of Learned Societies and funding provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The program is open to full-time graduate students in the humanities and social sciences, regardless of citizenship, enrolled in doctoral programs in the United States. Applicants must have completed all Ph.D. requirements except on-site dissertation research by the time the fellowship begins or by December 2012, whichever comes first.


  • AMOUNT: Fellowships will provide support for 9 to 12 months of dissertation research.
