The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) system is a nationally-known program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. R.A.D. is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
The Department of Public Safety offers two four-week courses each semester, which are free to members of the Syracuse University community. For more information, contact Jill Lentz at jlentz@syr.edu or call 443-5483.
