Inclusion Community and Citizenship

Welcome

to the website for the Inclusion, Community and Citizenship portfolio of the Division of Student Affairs at Syracuse University.

The Inclusion, Community and Citizenship (ICC) portfolio consists of:

  • LGBT Resource Center
  • Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs
  • Office of Judicial Affairs
  • Office of Learning Communities
  • Office of Multicultural Affairs
  • Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services
  • Office of Residence Life
  • Slutzker Center for International Services

Departments within the ICC portfolio collaborate broadly with each other and with the Student Learning and the Health and Wellness portfolios under the leadership of Tom Wolfe, the Senior Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs, to enable a culture of inclusion, community, and engaged citizenship; respond to student crises; and build personal responsibility, community participation, and global citizenship.

We also work across all areas of the University and the greater City of Syracuse communities to promote student learning through numberous campus and off-campus activities and programs.  I expect you will have myriad positive and life-altering experiences during your time at Syracuse University, many of which will be provided by departments iwthin the ICC portfolio.

However, there may also be times when you need a helping hand and information about what steps to take next.  We are here for you in those times too.  All ICC departments are founded on principals of student advocacy, and I urge you to use the resources we offer in both challenging and exciting times.

Enjoy browsing the ICC department websites and please contact my office, or any of the Inclusion, Community and Citizenship departments, if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Reed Kantrowitz

Associate Vice President
