Dr. Wendy Armenta joined Health Services as the new psychiatrist on Sept. 5, coming from the VA hospital, where she saw impatient clients for nine years, and practied outpatient mental health intensive case management for the past three years. Prior to the VA, she spent six years as the co-director of the inpatient unit at SUNY Upstate. She has also served as a consultant to Crouse Hospital, and continues to maintain a small private practice.
Wendy graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University and is a board certified psychiatrist. She also received a bachelor's of science degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Wendy comes with a wealth of experience and will provide psychiatric diagnosis, crisis consultation and medication management. She is an essential addition that will help Health Services in its mission to provide comprehensive mental health care to our student population.
