Syracuse University Career Services is pleased to announce the appointment of J. Magnolia Salas as the communication and marketing coordinator. Magnolia joined Career Services on July 9, 2012.
In this role, Magnolia will manage communications, marketing, and outreach efforts to promote full awareness and use of career services by Syracuse University students. She will also coordinate the department web and social media presence, and evaluate and implement emerging technologies that enhance office marketing priorities.
Magnolia recently graduated from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management, majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises. During her time as an undergraduate, Magnolia completed several interesting marketing internships, studied abroad in Madrid, and served as fundraising chair for Delta Sigma Pi. She will build relationships with student groups and create targeted presentations for the needs of specific organizations. Magnolia welcomes opportunities for collaboration and looks forward to working with others across campus to enhance the experiences of SU students while in college and beyond.
"I am very excited to join Career Services as its new marketing and communications coordinator," says Magnolia. "I will deeply enjoy this opportunity to apply my experience and training as a Syracuse University student to help all students find their own professional passions."
“As a recent Syracuse University graduate, Magnolia will bring unique insights for engaging the student population and helping them understand the importance of attending to their career development needs throughout their time in college,” says director of Career Service Mike Cahill.
