Assistance for crisis help and problem solving

ORANGE ALERT
To sign up for Orange Alert, the University's crisis alert notification system, log on to MySlice, select Orange Alert and follow the instructions to register your contact information. The Department of Public Safety will use this to contact you with information and instructions in the event of a campus emergency.

For health emergencies:
- Dial 911 from anywhere.
- Dial 711 from a campus phone.
- Dial #78 (#SU) from a cell phone.

To report a crime:
- Dial #SU (#78) from a cell phone.
- Call the Department of Public Safety at (315) 443-2224.
- Go to a blue light station and push the alarm button. A Public Safety officer will come to you.
- Dial 911. You will reach the Syracuse City Police Department.

If you or someone you know has experienced a physical assault:
- Call the Department of Public Safety at (315) 443-2224.

If you or someone you know has experienced suicidal thoughts or other urgent mental health needs:
- Call the Counseling Center at (315) 443-4715. (Confidential)

If you or someone you know has experienced a sexual assault:
- Call the Advocacy Center at (315) 443-7273

If you or someone you know has experienced relationship violence:
- Call the Advocacy Center at (315) 443-7273

If you or someone you know needs help with alcohol or other substance abuse:
- Call the Options Program at (315) 443-4234 (Confidential)

If you or someone you know has experienced a bias-related incident,
- report it at http://reportbias.syr.edu
- For consultation, support, and referrals, contact the Office of Student Assistance at (315) 443-4357.

For assistance with matters in residence halls:
- Call the Office of Residence Life at (315) 443-3637.
