Dickens “Deke” Mathieu Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Syracuse University. He is the chief legal officer of the University and is responsible for legal advice and counsel to the University leadership. Mathieu works closely with the Chancellor, members of the Board of Trustees, and other senior administrators to address the strategic and day-to-day legal and operational issues facing the University. Daryl Gross assumed his current position in February 2005 and is responsible for overseeing, managing and directing all aspects of the Department of Athletics and the Carrier Dome. These responsibilities include management of all personnel, operational, facility, fiscal and policy matters for a program that conducts 21 varsity sports involving more than 600 student-athletes. Lil Breul O'Rourke was appointed as Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Vice President for Principal Gifts in 2009.
