Lou Marcoccia

 

 

Prior to assuming the duties of his present position in June 2006, he was the University's Senior Vice President for Business, Finance, and Administrative Services from July 1995 to June 2006; Senior Vice President for Business and Finance from August 1985 to July 1995; Vice President and Comptroller from July 1982 to August 1985; Comptroller from January 1976 to July 1982; and Director of Internal Audit from August 1975 to January 1976. He was a Certified Public Accountant at Price Waterhouse & Co. from July 1969 to August 1975.

 

Dr. Marcoccia received a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003, a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University in 1969, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University in 1968.

 

Dr. Marcoccia is a member of several other boards, including: Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York (Director); S.U. Alumni Association Board of Directors (Treasurer); S.U. Theatre Corporation (Trustee, President, and Member of Finance Committee); Drumlins, Inc. (President); Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, LLC (President); University Hill Corporation (Director); Upstate Medical University Foundation (Director); and others.

 

His Office is organized into 16 areas, including the Office of Business, Finance and Administrative Services; the Office of Athletic Compliance; the Office of Audit and Management Advisory Services; Auxiliary Services (Bookstore, Conference Services, Food Services, Housing, I.D. Card Services, Licensing, Meal Plans, Minnowbrook Conference Center, Research Park, and WAER-JAZZ88); the Office of Budget and Planning; Business and Facilities Maintenance Services (Bulk Distribution Center, Mail Services, Materials Distribution, Parking and Transit Services, Physical Plant, Printing Services, Warehouse Services, and Word Processing); the Office of Campus Planning, Design, and Construction; the Comptroller's Office; the Department of Public Safety (in collaboration with the Senior Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs); Energy Systems & Sustainability Management (Steam Station); the Office of Human Resources (in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor and Provost); Information Technology and Services (in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor and Provost); the Office of Purchasing and Real Estate (Drumlins); the Office of Risk Management (Environmental Health, Insurance, and Safety); the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center; and the Treasurer's Office.
