John earned his bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University in Supply Chain Management (formerly TDM), and his MBA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
While at Syracuse, John also played on the Orangemen soccer team during those classic autumn days in upstate NY.
John joined Nike Inc. in 2002 and is currently the Chief Operations Officer for Nike Golf. He has also provided Nike Inc. corporate supply chain operations leadership for Nike Inc. affiliates Cole-Haan, Umbro, Hurley, and Converse.
He has extensive global supply chain management experience having held supply chain leadership positions at IBM and Dell Inc. prior to joining Nike, Inc.
Mr. Springer is active in the communities of Portland, as an Advisory Board of Trustee for RMHC, and Austin (given Texas roots) as part of the Nobelity Project and participates on the Syracuse University SCM Advisory Board.
John has three children: David, a graduate of George Washington University and works for the National Counterterrorism Center in D.C., Jeffrey, a December 2011 graduate of the University of Texas, Austin works at the State Department (USAID) in D.C., and Lauren, a May, 2012 graduate from the University of Texas, San Antonio.
