Without the generosity of SU's San Francisco Bay Area community, The Campaign for Syracuse University wouldn't be where it is today. We're happy to report that, in just five months (February 1 through June 30, 2012) Bay Area alumni, parents, and friends gave more than $1.3 million!
Here are just a few statistics:
>> During the Bay Area regional effort, a total of $1,336,517 in gifts and pledges was received.
>> Of the Bay Area donors supporting our regional fundraising effort, 21% were new donors to Syracuse University.
>> 11% of donors were Generation Orange alumni (graduates of the past 10 years).
>> 81% of the dollars given were designated to hire and retain stellar faculty.
>> During the five-month effort, the monthly average given by Bay Area alumni, parents, and friends more than doubled.
Even more impressive is the Bay Area's overall participation in The Campaign for Syracuse University—more than $15 million in gifts has been received since 2003! For a full report, visit sf.syr.edu.
