
During his 44 years with IBM, Nick Donofrio G’71, H’11 not only led the development of the legendary company’s technical community, he enriched it with a diversity of culture and thought. As a result, IBM was awarded the most patents of any company for 15 consecutive years.
Now Donofrio is focusing his energies on creating opportunities for people from a range of backgrounds to pursue their educational goals. He believes SU is making a profound difference in that regard, and his generous gifts to the University are supporting scholarships for women and underrepresented minorities in engineering and the sciences. NYC effort exceeds $12 million!
In the past month, the metro New York fundraising effort was boosted by more than $3.8 million in pledges and gifts, bringing our total since 10/1/11 to $12,041,268! Thanks to our loyal donors, our NYC total since the start of The Campaign for Syracuse University stands at an amazing $297.4 million!
