With the words "'can't' is not an option," the professors in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises pushed Whitman grad Jocelyn Lederman '09 to aim higher than she ever thought she could. Today, the Generation Orange alum is the lead business analyst helping to create the health claims processing system for 9/11 first responders and survivors. Read more about Jocelyn.
Every day, gifts big and small from Syracuse University alumni, parents, and friends are responsible for success stories like Jocelyn.
Now, less than six months after the start of our regional fundraising effort, donors in the D.C. area have really stepped up to support The Campaign for Syracuse University. Here are some of the latest developments:
A $1 million-plus increase in gifts!
Since our last e-mail, new pledges to the campaign have increased by more than $1 million, to $57,669,573. And the number of new donors has increased to 449, including 76 members of Generation Orange—graduates of the past 10 years.
Carrying on the Maxwell tradition

Read more about Caroline and the inspiration behind her generous gift.
