2012 Arents Recipients Announced

The George Arents Award will be conferred at a dinner on November 8 in Goldstein Auditorium.

During one of the highlights of Orange Central 2012, Syracuse University will confer the George Arents Award, SU’s highest alumni honor, on four illustrious alums: Foursquare founder Dennis P. Crowley ’98, interior designer Thom Filicia ’93, Pro Football Hall of Famer James Arthur Monk Sr. ’80, and philanthropist Jane Werner Present ’56.

Campaign Exceeds Goal Early Thanks to Generous Alumni Support

After the announcement of the campaign total on September 13, students, faculty, and staff were treated to a cookout on the Quad.

The Campaign for Syracuse University, the most ambitious fundraising effort in SU’s history, surpassed its $1 billion goal more than three months before the official end of the campaign, leading to a campus-wide celebration on the Quad.
