Senior Alumni Weekend to run September 9–11

On September 9-11, SU welcomes senior alumni to campus. The reunion classes of 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, and 1961 won't want to miss this special weekend.

This September, SU welcomes back senior alumni for a very special weekend celebrating the reunion classes of 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, and 1961. Events planned Friday through Sunday include the Class of 1961 Golden Anniversary Dinner, Class of 1956 Double Nickel Dinner, and Melvin A. Eggers Senior Alumni Award Dinner for all alumni who have celebrated their 50th reunions, where Edward S. Miller '51 and Kenneth Sparks '56, G'61, G'64 will receive this year's Eggers Awards.

Orange Central 2011 Update! Don't forget November 10–13 is Orange Central 2011, where you can not only cheer on the football team, but attend an Orange basketball game, too! SU men's basketball hosts Fordham University on Saturday, November 12, in the Carrier Dome (time TBA).

OC 2011 will also feature special reunions for First Year Players, DanceWorks, Habitat for Humanity, Peace Corps, and Generation Orange (grads of the past 10 years). There's something for everyone! Save the date, spread the word, watch your e-mail, and visit the web site for more info.

GooSU Yankee capd news for SU alumni who are also Yankee fans—the previously sold-out Orange cap, designed to commemorate the first-ever "SU Day at Yankee Stadium," is back in stock at the SU Bookstore. Are you involved in the alumni club where you live? Fall is the perfect time to join and take advantage of club events throughout the year. See a list of regional alumni clubs. New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo launched his Central New York Regional Economic Development Council in Syracuse, naming Chancellor Cantor as regional co-chair.
