Without the generosity of SU’s Chicago community, The Campaign for Syracuse University wouldn’t have the momentum it does today. We’re happy to report that, in just five months (December 2011 through April 2012), the Chicago region raised more than $2.3 million!
Gifts came from a variety of sources, including alumni, parents, friends, and businesses. Recently, the Chicago-based John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation awarded $500,000 to SU’s Maxwell School to study how housing affordability affects lifestyle decisions of older adults. Read more.
Even more impressive is Chicago’s overall participation in The Campaign for Syracuse University—raising more than $13 million since 2003! For a complete report, visit chicago.syr.edu.
This is just the beginning.
The Chicago Regional Council is a committed group—leveraging the Chicago Orange Fund, we’re ready to build a variety of alumni programs, events, academic initiatives, and student immersion programs and an even more engaged alumni base in the Windy City.
The momentum we’re experiencing now is just what we need to propel us to a stronger SU in Chicago!
Our thanks to you!
If you’re among the Chicago-area donors who gave to The Campaign for Syracuse University, thank you! Haven’t given yet? Join the effort and give now! We can’t do it without you!
