Chicagoans' impact reaches far and wide!

Glencoe, Illinois, resident and Chicago Regional Council member Andrew Berlin ’83 never forgot the passion Maxwell School military history professor David H. Bennett brought to the classroom. Looking for a meaningful way to say thank you and to further academic excellence and research, he established the Andrew Berlin Family National Security Research Fund in honor of the revered professor. Read more.

While Berlin's support of faculty is making a difference on campus, fellow Chicagoan Mark Verone ’95 is making his impact with a gift to the Chicago Orange Fund—helping support Chicago-based programs and ensuring area alumni will have even more ways to connect with each other and SU.

Verone is enthusiastic. “We want current SU students and families to know they always have a home in Chicago, and encourage local alumni to rekindle their SU bonds—it’s where East meets Midwest!”
