>> Receive fixed payments for life
>> Receive a charitable income tax deduction
>> Defer your taxes on capital gains
>> Invest in the future!
Payments are based on your age (or the ages of you and your loved one) at the time of the gift. The gift is a simple contract between you and Syracuse University, and the eventual returns can be directed to the school or program of your choice. It's an easy way to do well financially, and do good for SU students!

Based on her age, she receives annual payments of $1,450 for the rest of her life (annuity rate of 5.8%); $1,090 of each payment is tax-free. |
She itemizes her deductions, and receives a charitable gift deduction of $7,659 (based on current IRS rates). |
After her lifetime, the remaining amount is used to support SU. |

Jim and Susan make a cash gift of $25,000 to Syracuse University. |
Based on their ages, they receive annual payments of $1,350 for the rest of their lives (annuity rate of 5.4%); $1,012 of each payment is tax-free. |
If they itemize their deductions, they receive a charitable gift deduction of $5,446 (based on current IRS rates). |
