Syracuse University

Yesterday was a big day at SU!

After a week of being teased with "what is it?" messages, more than xxxx students, faculty, and staff came together on the Quad to find out what "it" is--and to celebrate two momentus occasions in SU's history.

First, it was announced that Syracuse University's New York City campus is undergoing a major expansion. The new Fisher Center--named in honor of trustee and lead donor Winston Fisher 'xx--will provide all of SU's school's and colleges with state-of-the-art facilities. That means more students than ever will have access to the kind of learning opportunities NYC can provide.

The second announcement was that The Campaign for Syracuse University--the largest fundraising effort in SU's history--has exceeded its $1 billion goal a full three months early! The campaign total so far (with more three months to go) is $1,008,612,731!

But while reaching our goal is important, what's even more so is the tremendous transformation the campaign has enabled. You can see just a few of these changes in the interactive map at whatisit.syr.edu. Check it out!
