2 + 2 Program with Onondaga Community College

The Syracuse University/Onondaga Community College 2 + 2 Program is broadly conceived as a holistic approach to assure success for transfer students. Syracuse University will combine previously defined program-by-program Community College Partnership with Onondaga Community College and our Transfer Student Center resources with Financial Aid predictive packaging.
In order to provide predictive packaging, OCC students will need to complete both the FAFSA and CSS Profile. In return, SU will provide a copy of the student's anticipated financial aid package at Syracuse University. The intent is to demonstrate that an SU education is affordable, and to provide a planning guideline for future educational expenses. The anticipated financial aid package is intended to cover tuition, mandatory fees, housing, meals, supplies and books for those students who demonstrate financial need equal to or greater than these costs. Financial aid may include any combination of following: Syracuse University Grant, Federal Pell Grant, NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) award, Federal Direct Student loans, and Federal Work Study.

Students who demonstrate financial need less than the costs of tuition, mandatory fees, housing, meals, supplies and books will have their needs met under regular institutional policies for transfer students. Refer to the Syracuse University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs website for more information.
Onondaga Community College graduates who have at least a 3.5 GPA and who participated in Phi Theta Kappa, will be awarded an additional merit award from Syracuse University. In 2010, this award is currently $2,000.00 per year.
Please note that there will be necessary adjustments to individual financial aid packages, either pending tuition rate increases and/or significant shifts in family income or wealth.
