All completed applications for admission to Syracuse University from U.S. citizens and permanent residents will automatically be evaluated for a merit-based scholarship. No separate application is required. These scholarships are awarded regardless of financial need.
Syracuse University offers Founders', Chancellor, and Dean's merit scholarships to entering first-year students. These scholarships may be used to pay up to $12,000 of tuition costs.
Syracuse University also offers merit scholarships up to $6,000 for entering transfer students.
Merit scholarships for international students are limited. Selection of scholarship recipients is made at the time of admission.
These scholarships are renewable each year as long as the student maintains a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
